The Archery Perks Overhaul attempts to improve Skyrim archery in four major ways.
Exciting new perks
Most of Skyrim's archery perks give a small boost to archery without actually changing how you play the game. This mod adds a lot of new perks to the game, many of which require you to change your play style in order to receive specific bonuses. These play style changes include things like fighting at close range, shooting enemies in specific areas, and drawing a bow for longer than necessary to receive a massive damage boost. Speed VS Power
One of my primary goals for this mod was to encourage multiple different archery play styles. After learning your first perk in the archery skill tree, you now have three diverging paths: General, Speed, and Power. Once you learn a perk from the speed tree, you cannot learn any from the power tree, and vice versa. General perks are beneficial to all archery play styles. Speed perks reward you for fighting at close range and allow you to better defend yourself against nearby enemies. Power perks reward you for keeping your distance from enemies and taking your time to line up a perfect shot.
Balance existing perks
I found a few of the vanilla perks to be either too overpowered or not powerful enough to compete with the other perks. For this reason I tried my best to balance a lot of the vanilla perks. I also disliked a few aspects from the vanilla archery tree so I decided to change them. One example of this is only being able to unlock Steady Hand after unlocking Eagle Eye. New unique arrows
After a while of playing, skyrim archery can get a bit boring. I have decided to make things more interesting by adding unique, craftable arrows to the game that can be crafted after learning specific archery perks. The effect of these arrows vary greatly and all have a unique purpose. My goal was to provide a different arrow for every possible situation in the game.
